Workshop Description

It's Critical That You Manage These Incidents Well.

Many who experience a potentially traumatic event also experience emotional, physiological, cognitive, and psychological effects after-exposure. Whether the event was in the distant past or just yesterday, these events have the power to overwhelm our typical coping mechanisms and change us…in dramatic ways.

These incidents don’t have to dramatically disrupt an employee or an organization. There are some solutions…and they may begin long before an incident falls upon you, an employee, or your workplace.

In this session the audience gets a peek into what a Critical Incident is, why it’s important to address it wisely for those exposed, how to address the exposure, and why some people may have no after effects while others may experience varied levels of distressing reactions.
