About Us

Together, as Sask Mental Health Training & Supports, Angellah, James, and the growing Team, work to bring Mental Health Training Workshops, Critical Incident Stress intervention, Support Team Development, and a variety of training opportunities in mental health-related topics through lectures and workshops

Achieve Optimal Health Today

For over a decade

For over a decade, Angellah and Jim Brayshaw, through Sask Mental Health Training & Supports, have been dedicated to illuminating the often-invisible landscape of mental health in Saskatchewan. Our vision is rooted in the belief that when we improve humans, we improve everything.

We strive to cultivate comfort and understanding, transforming conversations around mental well-being into opportunities for growth and support. We achieve this by offering a rich tapestry of experience, from breath behavioral analysis to critical incident stress management, connecting with audiences on a deeply human level.

Focused on improving each other

Our workshops and keynotes, whether focused on Psychological Health and Safety, Enhancing Emotional and mental Wellness, Mental Health First Aid, or Building Resilience, are designed to strengthen and equip participants with practical skills and the confidence to speak thoughtfully about their own experiences and those of others, and speak meaningfully with those experiencing wellness decline. .

Committed to Leaving Lasting Impact

We are committed to providing evidence-based approaches that leave a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of those we reach. Our dedication, certified by leading mental health organizations, underscores our commitment to this enduring work.

Angellah Brayshaw

Angellah Brayshaw brings a profound human understanding together with a unique blend of academic rigor to her role as a Mental Health Educator with Sask Mental Health. With an Honors Degree in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan and post-graduate studies as a Certified Breath Behavior Analyst (CBBA), Angellah's expertise extends beyond theory into the subtle yet powerful nuances of human experience. Certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada and trained in Critical Incident Stress Management Crisis Interventions, her work is deeply rooted in fostering thoughtful and artful communication around mental health.

For over two decades, she has specialized in crafting tailored workshops and lectures, creating spaces where participants feel comfortable and confident to explore their own mental well-being and support those around them.

Angellah has navigated the complexities of life, bringing a tangible layer of comfort and genuine connection to every session. Her approach is both insightful and deeply empathetic, allowing her to facilitate conversations that are respectful, engaging, and impactful, always emphasizing that mental health is improved through safe and meaningful shared experiences.

This capacity to connect on a human level, coupled with her robust background in conflict resolution and professional support work, ensures that Angellah's guidance not only educates but also empowers, leaving participants with the language and confidence to navigate their own mental health journeys and build resilient relationships.

James Brayshaw

He skillfully explores the emotional, psychological, and neurobiological factors that shape our well-being, translating complex concepts into accessible insights.

Jim's workshops are not just about information dissemination; they are about fostering a profound sense of safety and approachability, allowing participants to understand "why" they experience life in certain ways, and "how" to work towards the wellness they deserve.  His dedication to cultivating wellness potential and enhancing emotional intelligence ensures that individuals and organizations are empowered to build stronger connections and ultimately, improve as humans, which improves everything.
