When your Crew, Team, or Staff experience an intense event, it may be a potentially traumatic event (PTE). This is the time to take the best care of your team. The best care includes bringing them together for a Defusing to ensure they retain or regain wellness as they move through adaptive recovery.

Core Actions of a Crisis Event Response Team Interaction
IDENTIFY-INTERACT-FOLLOW-UP
OUTCOMES -The individuals who are enrolled in this workshop will
- Be trained to support others in a small Group Defusing setting by; Facilitating a Defusing
- Providing a safe environment to dialogue within the group about a recent Crisis Event
Guide participants of the Defusing toward understanding the exposure affects, including:
- how a person exposed to a Crisis Event may respond cognitively, physically, behaviourally, and emotionally
- learning the strategies to processing the potentially traumatic event
- and how to access support that frequently starts with personal supports and may require professional supports
Participants of Crisis Event Response Training will leave this workshop with an enhanced understanding of, the Defusing process, Crisis Event management, and an ability to competently Identify a Crisis Event, Interact with the exposed individual or group through organizing and facilitating a Group Defusing, and perform effective, timely follow-up via one-on-one interactions
