The crisp prairie air of Saskatchewan often carries a quiet strength, much like Angellah and Jim Brayshaw.

Through their Mental Health Education work, Sask Mental Health, they’ve become quiet cornerstones over the past decade, in fostering understanding and open dialogue around mental well-being. Imagine a room, perhaps in a community hall or a corporate boardroom, where Angellah and Jim stand, not as distant experts, but as relatable guides.

With their combined experience, groups and audiences find value from a rich tapestry woven from a 3-decade history of working in and serving the Fire Service, Breath Behavioral Analysis, Critical Incident Stress Management, and Neuroscience Coaching, allows them to connect with audiences on a deeply human level.

Their workshops aren’t just about disseminating information; they are about cultivating comfort. They skillfully navigate the often-uncharted territory of mental health conversations, offering participants the vocabulary and the confidence to speak thoughtfully and artfully about their own experiences and those of others. You might witness a palpable shift in the room as individuals, initially hesitant, begin to engage, sharing and learning in a safe and supportive space.

Whether delivering a keynote address to a large organization or facilitating an intimate workshop, Angellah and Jim’s primary aim remains clear: to illuminate the often-invisible landscape of mental health. They empower individuals to recognize the signs in themselves and those around them, fostering a culture of support and understanding. Because when we collective engage, we are improving humans … which improves everything. Their dedication, certified by leading mental health organizations, speaks volumes, but it’s their genuine connection and insightful approach that truly resonate, leaving a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of those they reach.

Softening the Force of the Uncertainty Epidemic

Session Length Options: Keynote | 90 Minutes | Half Day

Virtual or In-person

In this session, we’ll be chatting about the “Uncertainty Epidemic” and digging up some of the buried treasure that comes with softening the Force of Uncertainty. Managing this unceasing force may be the best way to move toward personal and collective wellness, and to enjoy a Psychologically Safe & Healthy Workplace.

We will explore the significant FORCE of Uncertainty as one of the unseen factors that leads to less personal fulfillment, alters relationships, and has a cascading effect on our world, our work, and our wellness. When we find certainty, we feel safer in all areas, as fear and biases are lessened, and wellness improves for all.

In this session, we learn how we can know ourselves and support others better by exploring some of our automated language choices and by being intentional. This kind of intention recruits neural energy, which leads to better decisions, resilience, wellness, behaviors, and workplaces. We will layer in some skills to enhance the word choices we make to communicate with each other and discuss how we can be a FORCE FOR CERTAINTY in the lives of those around us.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Uncertainty’s force impacts work and wellness.
  • Intentional language builds better resilience and decisions.
  • Use trauma-aware communication to enhance safety.
  • Become a force for certainty for others.
  • Four steps to build trust, reduce uncertainty

Together, we explore how low trust and uncertainty are two sides of the same coin, so we will learn how to Soften the Force of Uncertainty. You will be gaining insights and strategies for Strength-based Trust building that will help us to overcome the effects of the UNCERTAINTY EPIDEMIC. We will meet our collective and individual goal to enhance our work world and our personal world by using 4 Steps to Soften the Force of the Uncertainty Epidemic.

Where Has All the Trust Gone-And How Do We Get it Back?

A Two-Hour Virtual or In-person Workshop-

In this session, we bring a conversation on trust. What causes trust to plummet, and what drives it forward, and how to restore it,.

Trust is the willingness to be vulnerable to others based on positive expectations of their intentions or behaviour. It is a key requirement for human well-being, social cohesion, and economic development. However, trust is also a complex phenomenon that has multiple origins.

Trust affects all domains of life, such as families, society, workplace, and government, and impacts the quality of relationships in a multitude of ways. Trust can plummet in times of stress and isolation as empathy starts to slide.

In this presentation/workshop, you will learn about

  • the evolutionary and historical roots of trust,
  • the neuroscience of trust,
  • the spectrum of trust,
  • how trust affects the brain and the body, influencing our emotions, cognition, behaviour, stress response, anxiety, and inflammation levels.

Trust is on a spectrum that varies and can change over time and situations.

By the end of this session, you will be able to improve your trust skills using a simple and practical strength-based strategy that identifies pockets of trust in your life.

This session will help you see trust as a currency in work, life, and relationships, and how we can accept where we are at on the trust spectrum.

We will gain skills to find the appropriate level of trust for different situations and goals, and through developing and practicing strength-based trust building skills in daily life we will enjoy the rewards of trust each of us deserves.
