Mental Health First Aid Standard (Virtual or In-Person)

Whether you’re a manager, educator, or community leader, this hands-on, expert-led training will provide you with the confidence to offer initial help in a crisis, while reducing stigma and fostering a compassionate environment.

Learn how to spot early warning signs, de-escalate tough situations, and connect individuals with professional help, you’ll be making a meaningful difference in creating safer, more supportive spaces for everyone.

Certified by the Mental Health Commission of Canada

Available for both Virtual or In-Person workshops over 1 or 2 days.

An evidence-based course, MHFA Standard has been proven to give participants:

  • The tools to recognize signs of decline in mental well-being.
  • The ability to talk about mental health.
  • The knowledge of supports that can help with improved mental well-being.
  • The confidence to reach out to these supports.

The course is divided into 3 modules.

  • Module 1: Self Directed online (60 min to 2 hours),
  • Module 2 :MHFA for Declining Well-being-Live Virtual (3.5 hours)
  • Module 3: MHFA for Mental Health Crisis- Live Virtual (3.5 hours)

With conversations and skills to approach, assess, and assist in multiple Mental Health Crisis’s and Emergencies covering:

  • Substance overdose
  • Suicidal behaviour
  • Panic attack
  • Acute stress reaction
  • Psychotic episode
